Bunker Hill Farms in Woodstock was designed by Harry Vignocchi and opened in 2005 as a par-72 layout measuring 6,709 yards in McHenry County. Vignocchi created a semi-private course through the agricultural landscape of the Fox River basin, where open meadows, natural wetlands, and a modest elevation change create a pleasant playing environment.

Bunker Hill Farms in Woodstock, Illinois, was created by entrepreneur Mike Domek — founder of TicketsNow.com, which he sold to Ticketmaster in 2008 — who saw the property in 2005 and over the following years expanded the original 150 acres into a 450-acre estate golf property. The golf course, designed by landscape architect Harry Vignocchi (designer of nearby Bull Valley Golf Club), was built on 60 acres of the property and opened officially in 2011, with a ceremonial first shot and commemorative concert by 80s rock musician Bret Michaels marking the opening.

In 2015, Bunker Hill Charities was established as an Illinois nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, with all proceeds from event and group bookings directed to McHenry County charitable causes. This charitable foundation model has generated over $3 million in contributions to local nonprofits through golf events at the property — a philanthropic program that gives Bunker Hill Farms a community benefit dimension unusual in private golf facilities.
