Bella Vista Country Club offers an 18-hole par-70 course of 6,001 yards at The Beshara Family-owned club provides a private membership experience in Monmouth County.
History
Bella Vista Country Club in Marlboro, New Jersey was established in 1995 when Gary Beshara and his family purchased a 44-acre parcel and began developing what would become a comprehensive private country club facility. Beshara's vision from the outset was to create a park-like setting that would expand well beyond the original acreage, and through a series of subsequent land acquisitions the property grew to 136 acres — more than three times the original size. The golf course itself was built in 2000, with architect Stephen Kay designing the eighteen-hole layout. Kay, a New Jersey-based architect whose firm was known for producing thoughtful designs that worked sensitively with existing terrain, created a par-70 course measuring 6,001 yards with bent grass greens and bent grass fairways. The relatively compact yardage reflected the design philosophy of creating a course where strategic shot-making rather than raw distance would determine success. The club was initially known as Marlboro Country Club under Beshara family ownership before being rebranded as Bella Vista Country Club. The 22,000-square-foot clubhouse anchors the facility, offering a fine dining room, casual grill room, and private dining spaces that make Bella Vista a comprehensive social and golf destination. The Marlboro location in Monmouth County places the club in the heart of one of New Jersey's most affluent suburban communities. Monmouth County, with its mix of horse country, shore access, and well-established residential communities, has historically supported a dense network of private golf clubs, and Bella Vista occupies a distinct niche within that competitive landscape as a family-oriented private facility that offers comprehensive amenities alongside the Stephen Kay golf course.
