Aliante Golf Club

3100 Elkhorn Rd, North Las Vegas, NV 89084

Designed by Gary Panks · Est. 2003

Aliante Golf Club is a Gary Panks design set in the master-planned Aliante community of North Las Vegas, featuring a desert arroyo that comes into play on 14 of 18 holes. The course stretches over 7,000 yards from the back tees and incorporates two water features, tree-lined fairways, and generous landing areas that reward strategic positioning.

History

Aliante Golf Club opened on December 5, 2003, as the centerpiece of the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas. Designer Gary Panks, who based his practice in the Phoenix area and developed numerous layouts across the desert Southwest, built the course around a naturally occurring arroyo that cuts through the property. The arroyo — a dry desert wash that carries stormwater runoff — comes into play on 14 of the 18 holes, creating dramatic elevation changes and interesting forced-carry situations that distinguish Aliante from flatter desert layouts. Panks incorporated two water features to complement the arroyo's visual drama, and planted uncommon species including Pear and Purple Locust trees that add seasonal color to the desert landscape. From the Black tees the course measures 6,916 yards to a rating of 73.2 and slope of 139 — one of the more demanding public-access ratings in the Las Vegas valley.

The course received recognition from Vegas Golfer Magazine as the Best New Course in Las Vegas when it opened. An extensive practice facility including driving range, putting green, chipping green, and practice bunker supports both recreational and competitive players. The club operates year-round and serves both the local Aliante residential community and visiting golfers drawn to the Las Vegas area. Aliante Golf Club plays approximately 7,000 yards from the championship tees on a layout in North Las Vegas, Nevada whose master-planned community context in the growing northern Las Vegas Valley positions it among the newer residential-anchored golf developments in the metropolitan area. The North Las Vegas setting — within the jurisdiction of one of Nevada's fastest-growing municipalities whose residential development has expanded dramatically across the valley floor — provides a suburban community context whose demographics and recreational expectations shape the course's programming model.

The Nevada Golf Association includes Aliante among its member facilities, and the course has served both the Aliante community's residential golfers and the broader North Las Vegas public market. The master-planned community model integrates the golf course as a residential amenity whose green corridors and fairway-adjacent homes create the pastoral landscape that distinguishes planned golf communities from conventional suburban subdivisions. At an elevation of approximately 2,100 feet in the Las Vegas Valley, Aliante plays with the modest altitude advantage and desert climate conditions — warm winter temperatures, dry air, and intense summer heat — that define the Nevada golf experience. The course's routing uses the natural desert terrain of the northern valley to create strategic challenges whose desert vegetation, elevation changes, and prevailing winds provide the playing variety that sustains engagement across multiple rounds. For residents of the Aliante master-planned community and North Las Vegas area golfers, Aliante Golf Club provides a quality public championship experience in one of the valley's most actively developing communities.

The golf course provides the Aliante master-planned community with the green corridors and fairway-adjacent recreation that the community's founding design vision intended — a living landscape whose maintenance and quality directly support the residential investment of surrounding homeowners. For serious golfers living in or visiting the northern Las Vegas Valley, Aliante Golf Club provides championship public golf whose quality reflects the community's investment in recreational infrastructure.
